يحمل هاني فكري درجة البكالوريوس في التجارة من جامعة حلوان، ودبلومة في علوم الحاسب من الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة، كما حصل على درجة الماجستير في إدارة الأعمال من مدرسة ماستريخت للإدارة في هولندا، وهي إحدى المؤسسات الدولية المرموقة في مجال الإدارة والأعمال

ويؤمن هاني فكري بأن فهم التاريخ لا يقتصر على استيعاب الماضي فحسب، بل يمتد ليشمل فهم الحاضر وبناء المستقبل، وأن الحوار والانفتاح الفكري يمثلان ركيزتين أساسيتين لبناء مجتمعات أكثر وعيًا بتاريخها وأكثر قدرة على التعايش وقبول التنوع

Hany Fekry is an author and researcher with a keen interest in Egyptian history and questions of identity and belonging. He is also a prominent entrepreneur in the field of financial technology, with more than twenty-five years of professional experience in financial services and digital payments across Africa and the Middle East.

Throughout his distinguished career, Hany has held numerous senior leadership and executive positions within major regional and international institutions. He has also contributed to the establishment and management of several pioneering fintech ventures. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of enza, a company specializing in digital payments and financial services solutions.

Despite his extensive professional involvement in the worlds of business and technology, Egyptian history has always remained at the heart of Hany’s intellectual interests. He firmly believes that history is far more than a record of past events; it is the living memory of nations and one of the most important keys to understanding the present and shaping the future.

Driven by this passion, Hany embarked on a long journey of reading, research, and reflection, seeking to revisit many pivotal moments in Egyptian history free from preconceived notions and one-dimensional interpretations. He believes that genuine knowledge emerges through dialogue, openness, and an appreciation of diverse perspectives.

Hany holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Helwan University, a Diploma in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo, and an MBA from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands, one of the world’s respected institutions in business and management education.

Hany Fekry believes that understanding history extends beyond studying the past; it is essential for interpreting the present and building the future. He also believes that dialogue and intellectual openness are fundamental pillars for creating societies that are more aware of their heritage and more capable of embracing diversity and coexistence.

Alongside his professional career in financial technology, Hany continues to pursue his passion for reading, research, and writing.
